Who is this course for?

Adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who wish to improve their computer skills and learn to use digital cameras.

 

What does the course cover?

  • To improve your skills with ICT equipment
  • Basic word processing
  • Counting, shape and space, collecting information from surveys
  • To use a digital camera

 

Entry requirements for this course:

Learners will need to be able to recognise letters and find them on a keyboard independently. They must be able to work within a group and to have previously attended a course at the Karten Centre.

 

How will I learn?

The course will be based in the Karten Centre and out and about in the community. You will be able to work at your own pace with support from tutors. You will work towards Open College Certificates.


Cost of course?

The course is supported by WBC and free of tuition charges for eligible learners both from Ravenswood Village and local communities. There is a £10 registration fee each term.

 

Session details:

Location: Karten Centre

Day and time: Tuesday 9:30 am - 12:00 noon

Length of course:  Students enrol for one term at a time, starting in September 2007.
Duration of course is up to 1 year with a new topic and re-enrolment each term.
