We provide
training in using computers and associated specialist hardware and
software for teachers working with disabled people, carers of the
disabled, advocates of disabled people, relatives of the disabled and
others involved with disabled people.
Our training is designed to improve your computing skills, give you experience in using specialist hardware and software, and enable you to get the most from your student. A typical use of our training would be to help a carer or relative develop a disabled person's communication and organisational skills and maintain the disabled person's quality of life. Another use would be for a teacher to upgrade his/her hardware and software knowledge and learn techniques for getting the most from students. We also offer half-day workshops on specialist software packages. We produce some of the software we use in the Centre and we offer this software production service to outside clients.
